We collect the following information when you use Ranks Hawk:

• Account data — your email address and name, collected when you sign up via Clerk.
• Usage data — competitor domains you add, analysis results, and settings you configure.
• Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe. We never store your card details.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically via standard server logs.

We use your data exclusively to:

• Provide the Ranks Hawk service — running competitor analysis, sending email alerts, and showing you results in the dashboard.
• Send transactional emails — analysis results, alerts, account notifications. No marketing emails unless you opt in.
• Improve the product — understanding how features are used to make them better.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

We process your personal data under the following legal bases:

• Contract — processing is necessary to provide the service you signed up for.
• Legitimate interest — for product improvement and security monitoring.
• Legal obligation — where required by applicable law.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted within 30 days. Analysis data (competitor snapshots, rank history) is retained for 12 months then automatically purged.
